Modern Office

The office was to be located in World Trade Centre, a high end office building in Pune. The brief was to take up a raw space and create a cool and modern office environment for an investment firm within a month’s time!

Since the natural light was available only along one short side of the office, it was decided to align all the cabins along the long wall on one side with the conference room near the entrance door. All partitions were designed as a combination of  black aluminium sections and glass (frosted for privacy wherever required). The open office concept with workstations were arranged along the opposite long wall. It was decided to keep the ceiling as it is with exposed services and cabling. Hanging pendant lights selectively lit the workstations and aisles as needed. A chill-out zone with a raised wooden floor, comfortable couches, standing counters and landscape was planned along the glazing and the CIO’s cabin to create a break-out space for everyone. The pantry and open breakfast counter in wood near the entrance and waiting along with stylish bar stools added to the informal atmosphere. A skyline graphic in the conference room wall and in the frosted film of the glass partition set the tone for the office ambience. 

Overall the design brief of the clients in having a cool but sophisticated, informal but chic space was achieved by simple and efficient design successfully completed in the deadlines given by the client.
